What Is African Mango?

African mango, also known as bush mango, is a fruit native to West Africa, and, specifically, in Cameroon’s coastal rainforests. It is delicious, and very similar to the more common mangoes that you’ll find in many supermarkets these days.

But it’s the special seed of this fruit, or, more accurately, an extract from this seed, called irvingia gabonensis, that has diverse the medical benefits that is attracting so much attention.

This is also why so many celebrities are now endorsing the product.

This fruit also produces fibrous, protein-rich seeds which are referred to as dika nuts (or, sometimes, dikka nuts).

What Is African Mango Used For?

It was originally used by West African natives to increase their energy for when they went hunting.

However, more recently, it has also been discovered that these same energy-boosting properties also increase your metabolism, and that can be incredibly helpful when trying to lose weight.

Other benefits include appetite suppression, fighting fatigue, increased fat oxidation, reduced total cholesterol, reduced levels of both LDL (i.e. “bad” cholesterol) and triglycerides, as well as an increase in HDL (i.e. “good” cholesterol).

How Does African Mango Help You Lose Weight?

African Mango
African Mango helps you lose weight in several different ways, which are all to do with a hormone called leptin.

Leptin is a protein hormone that plays a critical role in regulating both energy intake and expenditure – i.e. it controls appetite and metabolism.

And leptin imbalance is reported to be one of the main reasons why obesity is reaching epidemic proportions in some countries.

So, if your appetite is reduced by taking pure African Mango extract, you’ll eat less, and that is certainly one way to help you lose weight.

And if you have an increased metabolism, then you’re going to burn off calories faster too.

African Mango increases the levels of leptin in your bloodstream, which helps get your system in balance again, and that delivers the vital one-two punch.

Laboratory research has also shown that extracts from the plant’s seed may actually inhibit body fat production, via its effects on certain genes and enzymes that regulate metabolism.

One way it does this is by delaying the emptying of the stomach, which then allows the absorption of dietary sugars which in turn helps to reduce the blood sugar or the blood glucose levels after eating.

Again, reduced blood sugar levels will also have a beneficial effect on leptin levels.

Does African Mango Work?

There are so many so-called “diet pills” on the market, almost all of which have limited or even zero benefit, and may even be complete scams, that you are right to ask this question.

And just because a few Hollywood celebrities are using African Mango doesn’t mean that it works.

However, the good news is that clinical trials have been conducted on Irvingia gabonensis, and the results were published in the journal of Lipids In Health And Diseases.

So, African Mango – scam or not?

We know, it’s not exactly a catchy title that you’ll find on most newsstands, so here is an extract, containing the information you really need to know:

“The study was conducted on 102 people split between those taking the African Mango extract and those taking the placebo. According to the study, taking African Mango resulted in significant improvements in body weight, body fat, and waist circumference. African Mango (Irvingia gabonensis) administered 150 mg twice daily before meals to overweight and/or obese human volunteers favorably impacts body weight and a variety of parameters characteristic of the metabolic syndrome.”

I’ve spent years trying to get a flat belly and nothing has ever worked. Now that I’ve started using African Mango, I finally have the sexy belly I’ve always dreamed of. Thank you so much African Mango.” (Elizabeth B, Milton Keynes, England)

Are There Any Side-Effects?

The best African Mango diet pills are a 100% natural, stimulant-free product, so there are no side-effects, unlike chemical-based products.

It also functions pretty well in the body, compared to other appetite suppressants such as Hoodia and Acai.

However, because it does have a relatively high fibre content, which is one reason why it helps increase your HDL levels, you may find that, initially, it can cause some diarrhea.

How Much African Mango Do You Need?

The recommended dosage for this African Mango supplement is just 150mg taken twice daily, before meals.

What excited me so much about this supplement is that fact that it suppresses your appetite and speeds your metabolism, by increasing the hormone “Leptin”. If you research the topic, these Dikka seeds have been used by the natives for centuries, so there really must be something genuine to it for sure. I just ordered this supplement and am excited to incorporate it into my weight loss goals.
